Question 1. What is cloud computing? What are the advantages of cloud computing?

ANS-  Cloud computing means storing, sharing and accessing data and services over the internet. Some of the most popular cloud storage platforms are Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive.

4Advantages of cloud computing are:

1. 1. It is less costly.

2. 2. It helps to share software and utility programs

                  through the internet.

3. 3. It is available 24x7.

     4.  Universal network access- cloud computing allows us to work from anywhere in the world by connecting to the network.

Q2. Write short notes on any two cloud computing services.

ANS2- Dropbox- It is a cloud storage service that allows us to easily store and share files with others. One can copy files to the cloud and access them later, even one using a different device. one can store upto 2 GB of data for free.

Evernote- It allows us to type notes, clip web pages, take photos and organise them in the computer or mobile device. One can store upto 60MB data per month.

Q4. Explain with examples how virtual reality has helped in training individuals for complex or dangerous situations.

ANS4. Virtual reality has helped in training individuals for complex or dangerous situations such as training and simulation scenarios-flight simulators for pilots or medical simulations for doctors to practice complex procedures.

Q5. Differentiate between virtual reality and augmented reality.

ANS5. Virtual reality is an immersive technology that creates a simulated environment and allows users to interact with it using specialised equipment. VR has applications across various fields and industries. VR has proven to be a valuable tool in eduation, providing students with virual field trips and hands on experiences that enhance learning.

Augmented reality is used to virtually bring a digital object into the real life world. It overlays digital elements onto the real world through a device such as a smartphone or smart glasses.

AR allows us to interact with virtual objects just like it is actually present in front of us. Nowdays devices like smartphones or tablets equipped with AR capabilities.
